North Head
Visit the historical remains of Radar Station 48 and Coast Watch Station 16 at North Head where servicemen were stationed in World War II.
To visit, you will need a high clearance 4WD. Be prepared with recovery gear, a fully charged phone, and a willingness to kick back and relax as some detours off the main track lead to idyllic soft sandy beaches.
Please approach North Head by foot once you reach the point where you have ocean on either side of the track. The area is extremely fragile.
The access track to North Head begins a few metres west of the information bay sign on the Sandy Cape Road.
